Guidance Programme
Objective
To nurture our pupils to become good and useful citizens.
The Guidance Programme was set up with the purpose of meeting the emotional and mental needs of the pupils. The Form Teacher Guidance Programme (FTGP) consist of lessons conducted by either the Form or Co-Form teacher. In addition, there is also Teacher-Pupil Dialogue sessions for the Form and Co-Form teacher to get to know their pupils better.
Counselling Service in School
There are teacher counsellors in our school for pupils who need assistance. Apart from them, most of the teachers in RGPS are also trained in counselling, thus pupils can also approach them for advice regarding their personal problems or learning difficulties. A school counsellor also helps to handle more complicated cases.
Special Needs Service in School
There is a learning and behavioural needs specialist in the school to see to pupils with special needs. Pupils may be referred to MOE psychologists for assessment.
School Prefectorial Board
The prefects are selected at the end of the year by their teachers. The selection is based on a criteria set by Discipline, Guidance and Student Leadership Department.
