Programmes
Special Art Programmes (within curriculum)
In addition to the MOE Art Syllabus, our students also enjoy the following art programmes:

Primary 1-6 | Little Sketchers Students can showcase their talent/passion in drawing, doodling or sketching by participating in different level-based activities throughout the year. |
Primary 3 | Claymation Students learn how to use a storyboard and raw materials like plasticine to create scenes for a video. They also learn how to use ipad app – Stop motion to create frame-by-frame video and finally edit the video using Filmora |
Primary 4 | Museum Based Learning Students go on art trails to the National Gallery to learn more about our pioneer artists |
Primary 4 - 6 | Ceramics Students learn the basics of pottery which include joining, pinching and coiling techniques. Final product will be glazed as well. |

Primary 1 - 2 | GREAT (Grooming Early Art Talents) To further nurture young talents in art. Students are given the opportunities to work with varied mediums to discover their strengths and to acquire additional techniques and skills in working with them. |
Primary 3 - 5 | ACE (Art Curriculum Enrichment) To further develop and expose our pupils to a variety of art activities and projects that will enhance their skills in areas like drawing and painting, graphic design, art discussion and ceramics. |

Primary 4 | Ukulele Students learn the basics of strumming and the 4 basic chords to play a repertoire of songs. Each class then put up an item for the whole level |

Assessment done at the end of every module. Each module typically lasts one term.

Primary 3 - 6 | Talentime Our annual competition whereby our best singers and dancers pit their talents against one another |
Primary 1 - 6 | Lunchtime jamming concerts Students have the option to sign up and come together after school to make music together and perform in the canteen during lunch once a month |
Primary 1 - 6 | Biennial Arts Fest 3-day arts-filled event whereby students learn more about various art forms and have the option to take part in parent-child bonding arts-related activities |
Primary 3 - 6 | Biennial Fantasia School concert where all participating SYF performing arts groups come together to showcase their talents |
